Montecatini Alto is an ancient medieval village, situated on top of the hill that overlooks Montecatini Terme.

A beautiful panorama over all the Valdinievole can be enjoyed, while the ancient "Piazzetta", with many cafè and restaurants, is the perfect place for an aperitif or an ice cream.

Montecatini Alto can be reached by car or with the ancient Funicolare, built in 1898, the oldest in the world that still works.
