Montecatini Alto can be reached by car or with the ancient Funicolare, built in 1898, the oldest in the world that still works.

The new exhibition space MO.C.A. - MOntecatini Contemporary Art has its seat inside the liberty style Town Hall.
Among the beautiful stained glass windows made by Master Galileo Chini, are exposed many world-class masterpieces, like the paintings Vita by Pietro Annigoni and Joan Miró’s Woman Encircled by the Flight of a Bird.
The museum also also hosts various exhibitions, shows, concerts and book events during the year. Entrance is free.
Grotta Giusti SPA
Discovered in 1849, Grotta Giusti has been defined as the eighth wonder of the world by Giuseppe Verdi. The hot steam inside the thermal cave has a healing powers on the body and the mind, getting rid the organism from the stess.
Today, Grotta Giusti is a modern Spa Resort, with also a wellness centre and a large thermal pool, with water plays and hydromassages.

Montecatini Opera Festival
Montecatini Opera Festival, totally dedicated to opera lovers, is recognized as one of the great musical festivals taking place in Italy.
The season covers a period of 7 months, from April to October.
